ETG looks to appoint two new engineering apprenticesThe Engineering Technology Group (ETG), based in Wellesbourne, is now inviting applications for two engineering apprentice positions that will begin in September.

ETG represents some of the world’s most advanced manufacturers of high-technology machine tools, automation, additive manufacturing, wire EDM and workholding systems which can be found in a wide range of manufacturing sectors, from F1 and aerospace to medical, automotive and even the food and space industries.

This diversity will provide an exciting career path for any aspiring engineer, offering a gateway to further career development in a business committed to investing in its staff.

The comprehensive apprenticeship training programme will take three years to complete, with the first 12 months spent full-time at college. The training programme is designed to ensure that the successful applicants gain a fundamental understanding of engineering.

This will progress through machine programming and operation, fault finding and applications, diagnostics and visiting customer facilities as part of the service team. Upon completion of the three-year programme, the trainees will achieve an Advanced Level 3 qualification along with a well-rounded skill set for an fulfilling future career within the manufacturing industry.
