To reinforce its global presence and increase local availability in Europe,
Pemamek Ltd — a global welding and production automation company based in Finland — has established a daughter company, Pemamek Srl, in Italy.
To lead the operations in Italy, Pemamek has appointed Andrea Battaglia as the sales director. He has extensive experience in the industry, the most recent being at Nuova CMM. In his new role at Pemamek, Mr Battaglia will be responsible for expanding the company’s Italian customer base and ‘establishing the path for future growth’.
Mr Battaglia said: “In Italy, there is a growing demand among manufacturers to automate and improve production efficiency. Therefore, there is a lot of potential for the PEMA welding and production automation equipment.”
Juha Mäkitalo, Pemamek’s CEO, added: “We are excited to have Andrea join Pemamek’s global team. He has a long experience in the manufacturing industry and a profound knowledge of the Italian markets. Strengthening our presence in selected areas and being close to our customers is an essential part of our long-term business strategy.”
