Semcon and Sandvik SRP enter new digital partnershipGlobal company Semcon has entered a multi-year partnership with Sandvik’s stationary crushing and screening division. The contract means that Semcon will take overall responsibility for the production of digital product information and training.

The two firms have previously worked on identifying how the company’s product information and training could be digitalised. It is now time for implementation, and Sandvik SRP has again chosen to partner with Semcon.

Semcon’s David Sondén, general manager product information Sweden, said: “Sandvik SRP manufactures complex machines and prioritises the digitalisation of product information and training to create competitive advantages, even if this is not part of their core business. We are very pleased to be trusted to develop this together with them.”

Sandvik SRP’s stationary crushing and screening division manufactures machinery for stone crushing, screening and feeding. These are large and complex machines that require a lot of technical information and training to ensure they are used and maintained correctly, optimally, and sustainably.

Digitalisation will enable Sandvik SRP’s customers and service technicians to more quickly get the information they need in their daily work. This paves the way for higher efficiency and reduced support needs, and thereby improved uptime. Semcon’s contributions include technical writers and experts in digital learning.

Martina Javerand, technical support manager within Sandvik SRP (crushing and screening), said: “We have chosen Semcon as thesupplier and partner for product information. In addition to technical expertise, product information demands a holistic approach, the ability to cooperate, and pedagogical skills, and Semcon meets all of these requirements.”
