React Engineering, a leading nuclear decommissioning and engineering solutions company, is opening a second office in Warrington. The company has developed a reputation over the last 30 years for providing specialist engineering and project management consultancy services.
The new office will cement the company’s current working relationships with the civil nuclear decommissioning sector, and help to develop and grow new partnerships within the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and Sellafield Ltd supply chain and form relationships with other specialists working in the nuclear industry.
Phil Redfern, React Engineering’s managing director, said: “Opening an office in Warrington is a very exciting chapter in the React Engineering story, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to spread our expertise within the engineering industry, specifically the nuclear sector, around the UK.
“We already work closely with a number of key clients in the Risley area and we are fully aware of the groundbreaking, pioneering work which is carried out by some exceptional companies and organisations within the locality. By opening the new office space, we aim to build on these relationships to ensure that we continually strive towards providing the best possible solutions to real life industry problems.
“On the back of the success we have enjoyed over the past 30 years, we are looking forward to building a new team in Warrington which shares our values, work ethos and drive to make a positive impact on industry.”
Innovative, cross-sector projectsSince it was formed in 1994, React Engineering has carried out innovative, cross-sector projects and consultancy work throughout the UK. The company has developed a reputation as a leader in pioneering engineering and project management specialising in nuclear decommissioning and environmental clean up. As a result of the move into Warrington, React Engineering will create new jobs in the local area to lead the new operation.
Mr Redfern continued: “At React Engineering, we are passionate about investing in our people and we actively empower our staff members to make their stamp on the business in their own individual way. We encourage entrepreneurial spirit while supporting and developing the skills and capabilities of our employees, and we are excited to be creating new employment opportunities in the Warrington area. This is a very exciting project to be starting and we are looking forward to meeting excellent people to make the new venture a success.”
React Engineering is committed to replicating the work it carries out in the Cumbrian community in Warrington. The company is passionate about raising aspirations for young people by providing educational opportunities in science and engineering not usually accessible to school pupils, in addition to running a series of fun events and workshops promoting STEM subjects.
Career development opportunitiesLast year, the company relaunched its React Futures scheme which provides financial and professional support for young people to kickstart their careers within the engineering sector. Students on the programme will receive a salary to support them through university, a job offer at React on completion of their studies and ongoing career development opportunities.
Kieran Tuplin, a senior consultant at React Engineering (pictured left), will lead the new Warrington operation having recently relocated to Bolton. He has been tasked with establishing the company within the new community, and it is a challenge he is really looking forward to.
He said: “Opening a new office in Warrington presents React Engineering with a multitude of new opportunities, and it showcases the great emphasis the company places on its people by empowering me to lead such an exciting period in its expansion following my recent move to Bolton.
“React has gained a reputation as an industry leader from its base in rural Cumbria, and it is really exciting to be spreading the great work it does to a more urban and more populated geographical area, which will widen the recruitment pool for the company.
“The prospect of creating new relationships with some excellent businesses within industry and the wider community is extremely exciting as the local area is something we as a company always wish to support and promote. Through this new office, React Engineering is showing its ambitions for business growth and I am looking forward to the personal and professional challenges that lie ahead.”
