As part of a new association agreement with
Penta Laser Shanghai, Rugby-based
MSS Lasers is to move all its UK laser sales business to Penta Laser UK Ltd at 52 Somers Road, Rugby.
Sales director Chris Smith said: “This is a major development in our ongoing relationship with Penta and it gives a clear message to the UK laser market that Penta laser products are now here in a very serious way. Over the past four years we have steadily grown a respectable population of laser cutting and welding systems and we expect that this new arrangement will further accelerate business growth, especially with the high-power systems that Penta has already established in other markets.”
Penta has a comprehensive model range of flat bed and tube laser cutting systems, including a brand-new 60kW fibre model launched at the recent
2023 Shenzhen Expo. The company’s entry level Swing model offers laser powers up to 12kW, while the heavy-duty Bolt range offers ‘dynamic 4g performance’ and laser powers in the range 12-60kW.
All UK-specification Penta systems are fully UKCA certified and available with IPG or Maxphotonics laser sources. Precitec cutting heads are supplied as standard, with cutting bed sizes ranging from 3x1.5m to 12x2.5m. Laser welding systems are available with power options of 1.0, 1.5 or 2kW.
Penta Laser UK’s showroom facilities in Rugby currently feature 12kW 4x2m systems and 4kw 3x1.5m systems. The company will offer full UK sales and after-sales support, plus a huge UK stock of Penta spare parts.
