High-speed laser marking, cutting and engraving in DublinTrotec Laser Ltd, a market leader in laser cutting, engraving and marking technology and materials, will be exhibiting at this year’s National Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition which is taking place on 23-24 May in Dublin (Stand H15).

Trotec lasers are built for demanding work environments where laser technology is required for cutting, marking and engraving. The manufacturer develops high-specification laser engraving systems which can withstand the speed and usage requirements of manufacturers, job shops and engineering organisations that use lasers for prototyping, marking parts and engraving labels.

Visitors to the Trotec stand can see the Speedy 300 Flexx laser cutter and engraver in action. With dual source technology, the Trotec Flexx laser features both CO2 and fibre laser sources and can therefore process a broader range of materials than a single source system. The CO2 laser source is great for accurate prototyping or creating signage and labels with plastic laminates, wood, textiles and acrylic; the fibre source enables direct marking on uncoated metals and plastics with common applications in part-marking for traceability.

The Speedy 300 system is the second smallest in Trotec’s Speedy range of flatbed laser engravers with a working area of 726 x 432mm and power options up to 120W CO2 and 50W fibre. As well as the Speedy series, Trotec offers fibre and MOPA galvo marking systems which are capable of even faster and more detailed part-marking in addition to advantages found in the accompanying software such as automated sequencing and serialisation.

The full laser machine range is available for demonstration at Trotec’s showroom in Dublin where customers can carry out their own testing and time trials. Andrew Dudley, Trotec’s area sales manager for Ireland and Northern Ireland, said: “I am looking forward to demonstrating how easy it is to integrate the Speedy laser where the technology is new to the business or where relevant work is currently outsourced, as well as showing how Trotec’s advanced technology and software can be a game-changer in terms of quality and speed of output for businesses which are already using lasers in their production.”

In addition to leading the laser technology market, Trotec supplies a broad range of engraving materials and is an end-to-end supplier for both laser systems and cut-to-size materials for a number of globally recognised manufacturers as well as small workshops and independents. A selection of materials will be on display at the event in Dublin, including Trotec’s hard-wearing TroLase plastic laminates and foils, uncoated and coated metals, acrylics, and metal marking sprays and pastes for CO2 laser users.
