Welding Alloys Group acquires Premier Technical

Welding Alloys Group acquires Premier TechnicalRotherham-based Premier Technical Ltd (Prem-tech), a manufacturer and supplier of wear-resistant products, has been acquired by Welding Alloys Group, a global leader in the manufacture and supply of welding consumables and equipment.

Welding Alloys Group says this acquisition marks a significant milestone in its growth strategy, expanding its footprint in the UK market and enhancing its product portfolio with Prem-tech’s specialised wear-resistant solutions, particularly in the field of continuous-casting roll repairs.

“This deal brings together two complementary businesses, creating a stronger and more diverse offering for customers. The acquisition is expected to provide significant, long-term synergies and benefits for both companies. By combining expertise, Welding Alloys and Prem-tech will be able to offer an extended range of wear-resistant solutions to customers in various industries, including mining, cement, power generation, and steelmaking.

“Moreover, being located in Rotherham will provide Welding Alloys Group with easy access to Prem-tech’s manufacturing facilities and skilled workforce. Rotherham is a renowned industrial hub, with a long-standing history of innovation and excellence in manufacturing.
