Essentra plc, a global supplier of essential components and solutions, has received the Supplier Quality Excellence Award from General Motors (GM) for its work in delivering the highest levels of product quality, innovation, and customer service in 2022.
Essentra supplies a wide range of protection caps to nine GM manufacturing sites worldwide delivered via its facility in Erie, USA. Winning the award follows a period in which there were zero quality issues and zero supply chain issues recorded across a 12-month period.
Parth Joshi, quality manager at Essentra Components, said he is delighted to have the contribution of the team formally recognised. He added: “It reflects our collective efforts in upholding the highest standards of quality, innovation and customer satisfaction. It also reaffirms our position as a trusted partner and supplier to one of the leading automotive companies worldwide.”
This is not the first time Essentra has received such an accolade. The team was similarly recognised by GM in 2019. The two companies have a relationship stretching back more than 30 years to the early 1990s.
Established in 1955, Essentra operates in 29 countries worldwide, with 14 manufacturing facilities, 34 distribution centres and 40 sales and service locations. Its wide range of 45,000 products serves more than 80,000 customers across a variety of applications in industries including equipment manufacturing, industrial electronics, fabrication, automotive and construction.
