BPI achieves ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations Wakefield-based BPI, a leading online asset disposal and auction specialist, has announced the successful achievement of both ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations, marking a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to environmental sustainability and occupational health and safety.

IS0 14001 is an internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems, demonstrating BPI’s dedication to reducing its environmental impact, minimising its carbon footprint, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. This certification highlights the company’s proactive approach to sustainable practices and the circular economy, enabling businesses to recycle and reuse under-utilised assets.

ISO 45001 is a global standard for occupational health and safety, reinforcing BPI’s commitment to creating a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Achieving this certification demonstrates the company’s ability to proactively identify and mitigate workplace risks, enhance employee wellbeing and comply with the latest health and safety regulations. BPI earned these certifications through the successful implementation of its management systems, strong leadership and a commitment to compliance and climate change mitigation.

Driving positive change

Henry Spencer, operations director at BPI, said: “We are incredibly proud to have achieved these prestigious ISO certifications. These accreditations reflect our ongoing commitment to sustainability, employee wellbeing, safety and operational excellence. The progress and improvements we continue to make demonstrate our dedication to driving positive change while ensuring long-term success and environmental responsibility.”

The accreditation process involved rigorous assessments of BPI’s policies and operational practices, ensuring compliance with international standards. By attaining these certifications, the company strengthens its reputation as an industry leader in asset disposal solutions and responsible business practices.

These achievements, alongside the already obtained ISO 9001 certification — a globally recognised standard for quality management — hold significant importance for BPI. This milestone is a key part of BPI’s new mission, vision and values statement, reinforcing the company’s dedication to meeting evolving customer needs, fuelling the circular economy and delivering a seamless asset disposal solution.
