Ward CNC appoints Phil Hopkins as head of strategic sales

Following recent enhancements to the company’s sale and after-sales and service teams, Sheffield-based TW Ward CNC Machinery Ltd (Ward CNC) has appointed Phil Hopkins as head of strategic sales. His appointment is designed to further strengthen the company’s senior management and sales team, as he brings with him a wealth of technical experience within the machine tool industry gained in both engineering and technical sales roles.

Mr Hopkins started his career as a CNC machinist in the aerospace industry and developed into a production project engineer before moving into sales, where he has enjoyed a highly successful career, constantly exceeding targets and building strong customer relationships.

His main focus will be selling and promoting the company’s Soraluce brand and portfolio of machine tools and value-added services into existing vertical markets, strategic customers and identifying potential new key markets and customers.

Speaking of his appointment, Mr Hopkins said: “I am very happy to have taken the position as head of strategic sales here at Ward CNC. It is a role I am very excited to get started in and I am also looking forward to working with and developing the Soraluce brand further in the UK.”

Ability to expand new markets
