Sandvik appoints new president of Powder Solutions division

Sandvik appoints new president of Powder Solutions divisionSandvik Manufacturing and Machining Solutions, part of the Sandvik Group, has appointed David Goulbourne as its new president of its Powder Solutions division (effective 1 May, 2025). The division includes brands like Wolfram and Buffalo Tungsten as well as the Osprey line of products.

Mr Goulbourne will also become president of Wolfram Bergbau und Hütten AG and brings nearly 25 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry and an entrepreneurial mindset to the role. Prior to this latest appointment, Mr Goulbourne was vice president of the Solid Round Tools business unit at Sandvik Coromant.

He said: “I am thrilled to join the Powder Solutions division and contribute to strengthening and expanding Sandvik’s leadership in the powder manufacturing industry. My focus will be on ensuring that customer value remains our top priority, by continuously developing more sustainable processes and high quality powder solutions.”

He will succeed Alex Nieuwpoort, who has decided to retire after 28 years of dedicated service and who has made a significant contribution to Sandvik’s growth and business development. Mr Nieuwpoort will remain with Sandvik until the end of June.
