Tamworth-based
Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC), a leading UK manufacturer of cutting tools, will be showcasing its latest innovations at
Advanced Engineering, taking place 1-2 November at the Birmingham NEC (Stand S170).
The much anticipated exhibition will provide manufacturers with the opportunity to investigate all the new product lines and participate in face-to-face discussions and ITC cutting tool experts will be on hand to discuss not only the very latest ITC cutting tool technologies but also the latest innovations from partners such as Widia, Big Kaiser, Kemmler and Bass. With many of these technology partners recently launching new products at
EMO Hannover, the ITC stand at
Advanced Engineering will be the first opportunity to see these new products in the UK.
With an outstanding reputation for the quality, consistency and performance of its solid carbide end mills, drills and thread milling ranges, ITC is continually evolving its portfolio to meet the needs of the industry. One of the products that has reaped rewards since its launch and will interest advanced manufacturing companies at the show is the ITC 6054 Series of end mill.
Developed for the machining of steel and exotic material types, the geometry of the 6054 Series has a centre cutting geometry with harmonic fluting to maximise material removal rates and swarf evacuation while minimising vibration to enhance surface finishes and tool life. This chip evacuation impresses with its extremely efficient chip breakers. The six-flute series 6054 Series is available with diameter options of 6, 8, 10, 12, 16 and 20mm with a length of cut from 18mm on the 6mm diameter tool through to 60mm on the 20mm diameter end mills.
With ITC’s Widia experts present at the November event, the indexable insert line from this globally renowned brand will also be available for show visitors to view. One tool that will be of interest is the Widia M1600 face mill series. Destined to be a popular choice alongside the M1600 is the M8065HD milling system for machining steel and cast-iron materials. Designed with eight cutting edges and extra-wide chip gashes, the new M8065HD can achieve impressive depths of cut while producing high metal removal rates during face and shoulder milling operations.
ITC has an unparalleled line of solid-carbide and indexable drills in its armoury, and at
Advanced Engineering, this will be showcased with the expanded range of indexable inserts added to the Widia Top Drill TDMX modular drilling line. This expanded series is the perfect complement to the Tamworth manufacturers' ITC solid carbide drilling lines.
As the undisputed world leader in high-precision tooling systems, ITC will introduce the BIG Kaiser range and in particular, the expanded line-up of Smart Damper-equipped, arbour-style face mill holders. Capable of supporting face mills with diameters of 80mm or 100mm with an arbour pilot diameter of 27mm, the Smart Damper delivers incredible performance improvements. Also on show from BIG Kaiser will be the Mega Synchro tapping chuck. which has a special function built in to compensate for synchronisation errors during rigid tapping. ITC will also be showing a Karnasch range of Micro and Composite tools.
