Welding Alloys opens new facility in RotherhamFollowing its acquisition of Premtech in April last year, Welding Alloys has strengthened the activities of both brands with the purchase of a larger, and more modern facility. Premtech recently started to migrate its operations to the new 14,473ft2 premises in Goldthorpe, Rotherham, which will act as the hub for both brands’ industrial operations.

Welding Alloys will also continue to run administrative activities operate from its new location in Hildersham, Cambridge. The move to the new premises will be highly beneficial for both businesses, as it not only offers a significantly larger shopfloor but also room to grow the workforce — and further develop the expertise and skills of current employees.

Simon Grant, the managing director of Welding Alloys and Premtech, said: “I am very excited by the purchase of the new facility. It will provide Welding Alloys and Premtech with the space to undertake larger projects and offer room for future expansion. 2024 will be an exciting year for both businesses”.

The move is predicted to be finalised by the end of June 2024. From then onwards, the teams at Welding Alloys and Premtech will be able to offer customers an extensive range of wear-resistant products and services in a variety of industries, including cement, mining, recycling, power generation, and steel making.
