ITC reaches new heights at MACH 2024

The ITC stand was busy throughout MACH week

Last month’s MACH exhibition once again proved a resounding success for Tamworth cutting tool manufacturer Industrial Tooling Corporation (ITC). The full-line supplier showcased its comprehensive range of cutting tool solutions, which included the company’s UK-manufactured cutting tools alongside solutions from BIG Kaiser, Widia, Karnasch, Kemmler and Bass.

Renowned for the quality, consistency and performance of its solid carbide end mills, drills and thread mill solutions, ITC is continually evolving its portfolio to meet the needs of the manufacturing industry. Taking centre stage on the stand was the company’s latest series of 4101 solid-carbide lollipop cutters which are perfect for reaching the most difficult of surfaces when five-axis machining — the 4101 series with its 220deg of inclusive cutting is a four-flute long-length tool with centre cutting to reach the most inaccessible of surfaces.

For trochoidal machining, ITC presented its extensive portfolio with the 5021, 5031, 5041, 6051 and 6054 appearing as just a few of the stand-out performers. For the machining of aluminium, MACH was the launchpad for the 3301 and 3204 series of end mills. The 3301 for heavy material removal is a long-length three-flute series with a centre-cutting 38deg helix geometry and impressive reach characteristics that are matched by its stability. Complementing the 3301, the 3204 long series with chip breakers, a centre-cutting geometry and a 45-deg helix also impressed stand visitors.

Huge portfolio
Complementing the ITC range was a huge portfolio of Widia solid carbide and indexable solutions — many of which were making their MACH exhibition debut. The VariMill end mills have been the standout performer for several years and this has now been improved with the arrival of the VariMill chip splitter range for dynamic milling, ramping, helical interpolating and side milling at high speeds and feed rates. Also on display were the Hanita VariMill Xtreme, the Widia Hanita Aluflash series for machining aluminium, the Widia M1600 face mill series for roughing to semi-finishing and the expanded Widia Top Drill TDMX modular drilling line.

The BIG Kaiser tools were supported at MACH by Giampaolo Roccatello, chief sales and marketing officer for BIG Kaiser Europe. Working closely with the ITC team, Giampaolo introduced the merits of BIG Kaiser’s latest product lines to show visitors. From the machine tool manufacturer’s portfolio of bore machining products, the expansion of the BIG Kaiser EWN Monoblock range was presented with BIG Kaiser’s Smart Damper technology. Alongside this were the MW rough boring bars, the new intelligent and fully automatic EWA 68 fine boring tool, the PG Straight Collet system with a new anti-pullout system and the recently introduced HDC hydraulic chucks.
