ICEE, has invested in a new Bystronic 6KW ByCut Star fibre laser cutting machine at its facility in Waterlooville, supplied by Coventry-based
Bystronic UK to support the development of its advanced profile cutting service. The new ‘state of the art’ technology represents a significant leap forwards in the company’s manufacturing capabilities, offering increased speed, precision and versatility, while keeping ICEE at the forefront of the sheet metal manufacturing sector.
The new Bystronic fibre laser has a number of class-leading features that include advanced process monitoring, tilt prevention mechanisms, and heightened precision controls. The new ByCut Fibre Laser can profile sheets measuring 3,000 x 1,500mm, with a maximum simultaneous positioning speed of 170m/min. Automated manufacturing is also catered for with the addition of a Bystronic ByTrans, which automatically loads and unloads batch sheet metal into the laser.
