BLM Group to present new solutions at EuroBLECH

The LS7 is a compact high-performance laser machine

At EuroBLECH 2024, the BLM Group, which has a UK subsidiary in Bedford, will present its LS7 sheet metal fibre laser cutting system. This will feature a 20kW power source and automatic warehouse in a compact tower version for 24/7 continuous production (Hall 13, Stand E182).

The LS7 is a compact high-performance machine with ultra-fast pallet change (just 9sec), laser cutting head sensors, and ‘Active Tools’ features that ‘automatically optimise the cutting process and maximize energy efficiency’; and thanks to its fibre source, the machine can process a wide variety of metals, including aluminium, brass, stainless steel, copper, and mild steel.

Features include a structure that combines aluminum and polymer concrete elements to give strength and lightness, and thereby ensure ‘excellent performance and acceleration beyond 2g’. The machine on display will be equipped with a gas mixer system that combines gases automatically to further improve cutting quality and speed; this system requires no special maintenance procedures or extra space for installation as it is fully integrated into the machine.

Fully electric tube bender
Meanwhile, the Elect150 is a fully electric tube bender. Available in a left-hand or right-hand bending configuration for tubes up to 150mm in diameter, it incorporates the latest VGPNext programming software to enable bending with a high degree of difficulty and excellent surface finish. The machine on show will be bending a 110mm-diameter tube with only a 90mm centreline radius, while ‘maintaining an excellent aesthetic finish’.

Also on show will be a Lasertube LT7, a fully automatic system for processing tubes from 12 to 152mm in diameter and weighing 23kg/m. Moreover, BLM says that from the smallest diameter to the largest, all adjustments are automatic, adding that even open profiles are processed fully automatically. The machine on display will be equipped with an automatic insertion unit for threaded inserts, as well as a robotic sorting system at the output.

Also on show will be an LT-Free, a five-axis 3-D laser cutting cell for processing three-dimensional metal profiles for a wide range of industries. These include electric vehicles, plant engineering, motorcycles, automotive, plumbing and furniture.
