Back again for 2024 is
Fanuc UK Ltd’s annual Open House event this November at its Coventry facility. Included will be expert talks from over 20 speakers, panel debates, live robot demonstrations, an exhibition area, robot taster sessions — plus the WorldSkills UK Industrial Robotics final. Moreover, each day will have a distinct theme.
Tuesday, 12 November will focus on ‘Enabling step change in automation adoption’. On Wednesday, 13 November the theme will be ‘Education in automation adoption, while on 14 November it will be ‘UK Automation 2030’. The morning sessions will feature presentations from ‘automation thought leaders’, real-world case studies, live panel discussions, and audience Q&As.
The afternoon sessions will be dedicated to the 30-plus exhibitors, all of whom are Fanuc ‘strategic partners’ specialising in ‘supporting different sectors to automate’. Solutions on display will cover everything from aerospace and automation, food and beverage and packaging, to injection moulding and medical devices.
In addition, there will be live robot and cobot demonstrations, free robot taster sessions, and the latest cutting-edge automation technologies incorporating vision and AI.
Throughout the three days of the event, Fanuc UK will also host the live final of the WorldSkills UK Industrial Robotics competition. Following a six-month qualifying programme, the best of the country’s young robotics engineers will compete during the Open House to be named the winners of this contest — and earn themselves the right to represent Squad UK at the International Finals next year.
