Tamworth-based
Industrial Tooling Corporation Ltd (ITC) will again be exhibiting at
Advanced Engineering, taking place 30 and 31 October at the NEC, Birmingham (Hall 3, Stand T171).
Taking centre stage will be the latest addition to its portfolio — micro tools from Karnasch. The range starts at 0.05mm and reaches 6mm in diameter with the latest coatings applied to meet the challenges of various materials, including aluminium, steel, hardened steels, exotic materials and composites.
The milling geometries include tools with sharp corners, radiused corners, and ball noses and have exacting tolerances designed for high-value mould and die applications. A new range of micro drills and micro threadmills are also included; sizes start at M0.6, continue up to M3, and are available for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
There is also a diamond-coated range for composites and graphite applications, as well as three drilling ranges, including through-coolant, from 0.80mm diameter up to 2.95mm diameter, with different length versions. There is also a solid range from 0.10mm diameter up to 3mm diameter, again with differing lengths, as well as a range of pilot drills to support the Micro range.
The Karnasch portfolio also includes micro concave corner rounding cutters starting with a radius of 0.10mm diameter up to 3mm radius — a range of 250deg lollipop cutters from 1-8mm diameter ball nose.
Also on display will be a selection of ITC and Widia products, specially mounted on BIG Daishowa high-accuracy MEGA Micro chucks. ITC will highlight BIG Daishowa’s advantages when machining components that require the best tooling and workholding combinations.
