Following a busy summer schedule, the
British Motor Museum has announced a further eight enthusiast and family-focused events taking place throughout September and October.
The programme begins with the Retro Truck Show on 5 and 6 September, one of the Museum's largest annual attractions. More than 300 trucks dating from 1971 to 2001 are expected to attend, representing leading manufacturers including DAF and Volvo. The event also draws vehicles and exhibitors from across Europe, including France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Mazda enthusiasts will gather at the Museum on 13 September for the MX-5 Owners Club National Rally. With over 1,500 vehicles expected, organisers describe it as the world's largest event of its type, bringing together MX-5 owners, specialists and enthusiasts from the UK and beyond.
The DR1VR Show returns on 20 September, showcasing a diverse range of modified vehicles, from stance and track-focused builds to classic and contemporary performance cars. Live entertainment and an extensive show-car display are also planned throughout the day.
On 26 September, Rustival makes its fifth appearance at Gaydon. Hosted by Ian and Carly from HubNut, Steph from IDRIVEACLASSIC and Matt from Furious Driving, the event celebrates vehicles of all ages and conditions, ranging from meticulously maintained classics to weathered survivors. Cars, motorcycles, buses and a variety of other vehicles are expected to take part, alongside guest appearances, food vendors and the event's popular Friendship Corner.
The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust will once again partner with the Museum for Jaguars at Gaydon on 27 September. The gathering will feature hundreds of Jaguar, Daimler, Swallow, SS and Lanchester vehicles, with owners sharing the stories behind their cars. The event will also host the Champion of Champions Concours competition.
October's events include the Porsche Boxster 30th Anniversary Celebration on 10 October. Marking three decades since the launch of Porsche's iconic roadster, the event will bring together examples from every generation of the Boxster, from the original 986 through to the latest 718 models.
The following day sees the return of the Large Model Aircraft Show, featuring more than 100 large-scale radio-controlled aircraft covering every era of aviation, from First and Second World War aircraft to modern jet designs. Visitors will also have access to a dedicated trade area and opportunities to meet builders and pilots.
The autumn programme concludes with the Great British Model Railway Show on 24 and 25 October. The event will showcase more than 40 layouts and over 30 specialist traders, with leading industry names including Hornby and Bachmann in attendance.

Entry to the shows, which includes admission to the Museum, costs £18 for adults in advance (£21 on the day), £16 for concessions in advance (£19 on the day) and £9 for children aged five to 16 (£10 on the day). Children under five are admitted free of charge. Visitors can also opt to Gift Aid or donate their admission fee and receive an Annual Pass at no additional cost.
