Schaeffler UK has been recognised by
RS Connect, a global omni-channel provider of industrial product and service solutions, with the
Most Innovative Supplier Award 2024. The award was given in recognition of
Schaeffler’s Lifetime Solutions portfolio, which offers a comprehensive range of innovative products, services and solutions for industrial maintenance that are designed to support maintenance engineers over the entire lifetime of a machine.
RS UK and Ireland held its annual
RS Connect event at Silverstone in Northamptonshire, the home of British motorsport.
The event offered RS employees and customers the chance to explore RS services and solutions and meet more than 80 of its leading product supply partners at a large exhibition to explore the company’s services and solutions. The two-day event facilitated industry networking, while also providing panel discussions, keynote speaker sessions and an awards ceremony.
The
RS Connect First Choice Supplier Awards recognised its suppliers who go above and beyond to meet the needs of RS in fulfilling its mission to be a first-choice solutions provider. Aiding its commitment to meeting customer requirements through continual evolution of its offering.
At the awards dinner in the prestigious Silverstone Conference Centre, David Smith, lifetime solutions engineer at Schaeffler UK, and Lisa Schneider, key account manager RS at Schaeffler Bearings & Industrial Solutions, accepted the award from Christian Horne, chief product and supply chain officer for EMEA at RS.
Mr Horne said: “Innovation keeps industry moving and evolving. Schaeffler has supported RS in its quest to expand its range of services and improve its maintenance solutions offering by bringing to life its OPTIME range. This cutting-edge condition-monitoring solution is designed to optimise machinery performance, reduce downtime and streamline maintenance operations. Schaeffler has been instrumental in training RS’s field service engineers and supporting RS with a proof-of-concept kit and demonstration area installed in its Nuneaton distribution centre.
“Its team has also supported with customer opportunities, providing installation and commissioning in partnership with RS’s field service engineers and attending customer visits to provide demonstrations.”
