Rocol, a globally-renowned manufacturer of specialty industrial lubricants and high-performance products, has announced the appointment of Graeme Tweddle as the new vice president and general manager of
ITW Fluids Europe to reinforce the group’s central mission to deliver superior energy efficiency, enhance user safety, and support customers operating in the most demanding environments.
Mr Tweddle brings his experience in strategic leadership for global businesses in the specialty manufacturing industry and will lead ITW Fluids Europe’s portfolio of industry-leading brands, including Rocol, Novadan, and Quimsa. This covers engineering and manufacturing environmentally responsible industrial lubrication and hygiene MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) solutions in the UK, France, Germany, Denmark, Poland, and Spain.
His vision focuses on building Rocol’s long-standing heritage — the company is approaching its 150th anniversary — and harnessing all team talent and potential to drive innovation and customer service in increasingly dynamic and demanding markets. According to Rocol, Mr Tweddle‘s appointment supports the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting customer growth and innovation in the sector.
He joins from Cargill, where he served as global managing director of performance technologies, bringing over 30 years of industry expertise in specialty products and bio-based technologies. With a proven track record in global leadership roles within manufacturing and speciality chemical sectors, he spent 15 years at Croda PLC, rising to vice president of performance technologies and industrial chemicals, and 15 years at Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI), managing operations, supply chain, and product marketing.
On his appointment, Mr Twedddle said: “I am delighted to have joined ITW Fluids Europe, I am excited to be working with the Rocol team and I have enjoyed a fantastic welcome. I look to bring enthusiasm and ambition to support the strong team that is in place. What attracted me to the role was ITW’s decentralised business model, its focus on innovation, customer service and overall delivery of high quality specialty business results. In 2025 we want to continue to see customers benefit from our innovative products, service approach, and make further investment in our future growth ambitions.”
This latest announcement comes after the business bolstered its senior leadership team with a new head of technical and two product managers earlier this year.
