The inaugural Parts Finishing trade fair, will take place from 12-13 November at the Karsruhe Exhibition Centre in Germany, and will showcase solutions for deburring, component cleaning and surface finishing. The organiser says that the two-day show and the turnkey, customisable booth packages on offer will ensure it will be a cost-effective event for the manufacturing industry.

The goal of trade fair exhibitors is to engage in personal discussions with potential business partners, maintain and intensify current customer relationships and facilitate networking and market monitoring. Nicolas Herdin (pictured below), who assumed the role of managing director at private trade fair promoters FairXperts GmbH & Co KG in January 2025, said: “The concept of the new Parts Finishing trade fair is targeted at enabling exhibitors to achieve this goal with minimal costs and staffing requirements.”

The event aims to bring together solutions for deburring, component cleaning and surface finishing at a single event. The range of technologies on display will include everything from systems, processes, tools and media, to quality assurance and services — from standalone processes to interlinked production lines. Mr Herdin explained: “Bringing together these complementary manufacturing steps makes it possible for suppliers to present their entire product portfolio in an ideal interdisciplinary context. It also makes it easier for exhibitors to establish strategic partnerships with each other.”

Comprehensive overview

The organiser says that visitors from the fields of production management, planning and control, as well as product and process development, design and quality assurance, can gain a comprehensive overview of the ‘state of the art’ current developments and trends for company-specific optimisation of three process steps which are essential in every parts production process.

Nicolas HerdinIn a challenging economic environment, it is important for manufacturing companies to demonstrate their capabilities to potential and existing business partners. At the same time, companies are under pressure to cut costs and use existing budgets as efficiently as possible. Parts Finishing provides support in this regard too.

Firstly, the trade fair lasts for just two days which reduces idle time to a minimum for establishing and maintaining contacts, as well as costs incurred for personnel and accommodation.
Secondly, turnkey, customisable booth packages starting at 12m2 of exhibition floor space reduce the workload both before and during the trade fair. Even the basic package, offered at a fixed price, includes not only floor space rental fees but rather top quality booth construction as well with basic furnishings, printing of wall signage provided by the exhibitor, electrical hook-up and power consumption, as well as services which are often invoiced separately at trade fairs.

Exhibitor presentations will be complemented by a transfer of knowledge at the bilingual Parts Finishing expert forum, which will be held on both days of the trade fair. Solutions for actual applications, current developments and trends from all three trade fair topics will be explored at the simultaneously interpreted presentations (German and English).
