Taiwan Excellence made a high-profile debut at
TIMTOS 2025, championing home-grown smart manufacturing, innovations and sustainability solutions. The organisation brought together leading Taiwanese companies such as Chmer, Hiwin Mikrosystem, Honor Seiki, YCM, Hiwin, Accutex, Gifu, Campro and Techman Robot to collectively showcase Taiwan’s innovation in manufacturing and its commitment to sustainable development.
Several groundbreaking products were highlighted, including the Chmer UA432L Linear-driven Wire-cut EDM which is equipped with 48 patented technologies. This ‘green’ and compact machine enhances precision and efficiency, making it ideal for the electronics, automotive, and medical manufacturing industries.
Hiwin Mikrosystem’s APM Series Absolute Position Measurement System was also showcased. This development offers real-time monitoring capabilities. While safety is paramount, its waterproof and dust-proof magnetic sensing technology maintains high accuracy and is now widely applied in the panel, semi-conductor, and precision machining industries.
Also on display was Honor Seiki’s I VL-100CA intelligent vertical lathe which is aimed at the aerospace industry and integrates smart CNC technology. It significantly reduces processing time and costs while greatly improving production efficiency.
Groundbreaking innovationMeanwhile, the YCM T11 Green Smart Machine was also in the spotlight. This groundbreaking innovation incorporates artificial intelligence (AI) smart control technology to balance energy savings with high-efficiency machining and it has been globally recognised with Taiwan’s first ISO14955 international certification.
The 30th edition of TIMTOS adopted the theme “Integrate to Innovate’, and focused on three key areas: ‘AI and Robotics’, ‘Future Manufacturing’, and ‘Energy-Saving Sustainability’. As a leading global event for the machine tool industry,
TIMTOS serves as a crucial platform for Taiwan to showcase its cutting-edge manufacturing technologies, and this event presented an opportunity to see Taiwan’s excellence in machine tool technology and gain an understanding of future advancements.
The
Taiwan Excellence (TE) Awards were established in 1993 by Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) to recognise and celebrate the achievements of Taiwan’s most innovative products. Each year, eligible products go through a rigorous selection process that assesses their products based on four important factors: research and development, design, quality, and marketing, with the key criterion of being Made in Taiwan.
The Taiwan Excellence mark has gained global recognition as a prestigious symbol of quality and design, effectively showcasing Taiwan’s impressive product innovation. More information can be found at the website
