BIG Kaiser Europe rebrands to BIG Daishowa EuropeThe new BIG Daishowa Europe MW rough boring heads available in the UK from ITC

As a global leader in precision tooling systems for metalworking industries, BIG Daishowa is accelerating innovation and operational efficiency with a strategic reorganisation across its European operations. Available in the UK through technical partner Industrial Tooling Corporation Ltd (ITC), based in Tamworth, the initiative includes a rebranding to BIG Daishowa Europe, aligning the company with its global parent. Moving forward, there will be a major investment in research, logistics and production that will benefit ITC customers in the UK.

Effective immediately, the arrival of BIG Daishowa Europe will mark the transition from its former name, BIG Kaiser Europe. This change unifies the company’s branding worldwide while reinforcing its position as an industry leader. A key development of this transition will include a European R&D Hub for Innovation — the R&D Centre in Ruemlang, Switzerland, will become the global centre of excellence for the BIG Daishowa Group, focusing on digitalisation and automation in tooling solutions.

Global production will be streamlined — boring tool production will transfer to Japan, optimising global supply chains while assembly and service for European customers remains in Switzerland.
In addition, European operations will be expanded. By 2026, a new European headquarters and logistics centre will open in Germany, enhancing customer service and operational efficiency.

BIG Daishowa Europe CEO Reto Adam said: “This reorganisation ensures we continue to lead in tooling quality and innovation. By leveraging Japan’s manufacturing expertise and Europe’s innovation capabilities, we will provide customers with advanced, reliable solutions tailored to their needs.”

BIG Daishowa’s strengthened R&D centre will focus on pioneering digital tools, including the EWE digital boring heads and EWA automatic boring heads, solidifying Switzerland’s role in advancing precision tooling technologies. The restructure will enhance product innovation and service for new and existing UK customers of ITC Ltd.
