EGGER UK, a leading international manufacturer of wood-based materials, has selected
A-SAFE as its preferred supplier of workplace safety barriers at its Barony and Hexham manufacturing facilities. Under this new agreement, A-SAFE will become the primary provider of safety solutions for EGGER UK, supplying high-performance, standardised protection across its UK operations – for both its people and equipment.
James Conn, technical purchasing specialist at EGGER UK, said: “Employee safety is our highest priority. A-SAFE are the market leaders in our eyes, especially given our bespoke requirements. A recent visit to their facilities reaffirmed that their products and approach are the right fit for our business. Our safety infrastructure has significantly advanced thanks to A-SAFE. We now have complete confidence that pedestrians and machinery are effectively segregated and protected, especially with all A-SAFE products meeting the rigorous PAS 13 standard.”
PAS 13, developed by the British Standards Institution (BSI) sets the industry standard for workplace safety barriers, through strict testing and compliance measures. A-SAFE was instrumental in shaping the standard, contributing as part of the committee of experts behind its development.
Ray Barnett, sales director at A-SAFE, concluded: “Our partnership with EGGER UK is built on a shared commitment to workplace safety and operational efficiency. By standardising high-performance safety solutions across EGGER’s sites, we are helping to minimise risks, enhance workflow and reduce long-term maintenance costs. This agreement reflects a joint vision for safer and smarter working environments.”
