Scarborough-based Unison Ltd, the UK-based inventor of ultra-precise, all-electric tube manipulation, has promoted Luke Gibson to the position of UK sales manager. Previously Unison’s sales applications engineer, Mr Gibson joined the company in August 2022, along with several other former employees of Preston-based Addison Forming Technologies Ltd following its closure.

Initially responsible for expanding Unison’s sales of precision and consumable bend tooling and running its advanced bend tooling service, more recently he has been involved in supporting the sales of Unison’s all-electric and hybrid-electric tube bending machines, wire bending machines and tube simulation technologies.

Mr Gibson said: “Since joining Unison, I have been given incredible opportunities for progression, enabling me to make the smooth transition from bend tooling to managing machine tool sales. As such, I now look forward to helping organisations across the UK select the most appropriate British-built tube and wire-bending machines for their specific applications and manufacturing requirements.”

Steve Chambers, Unison’s sales director, said: “We are delighted to promote Luke to the role of UK sales manager. In the three years since he joined our business, he has more than proved himself, initially applying his considerable skills to developing our tooling division and more recently becoming involved in machine sales. With the ability to guide customers in machine tool purchases and also assist them in choosing the most appropriate and cost-effective tooling, he is a real asset to the business and its future growth.”
