Merit has completed a significant project at the
UK Battery Industrialisation Centre in Coventry. The business has finished the new clean and dry zone, which encompassing an additional 8,611ft
2.
The expansion project, which was completed over a 10-month period, was initially announced in July 2024, with Merit appointed to design and deliver the facility. Capable of maintaining the precise climate-controlled conditions needed in the production of high-quality, reliable cells, the facility consists of five independent production rooms.
Merit chief executive Tony Wells said: “We take great pride in our continued partnership with UKBIC and the successful completion of this project further solidifies our capabilities. By optimising existing systems, we have delivered this extension in a notably shorter timeframe and at a reduced cost, aligning seamlessly with UKBIC’s objectives for innovation.”
