New managing director at Open Mind Technologies UK

New managing director at Open Mind Technologies UKBicester-based Open Mind Technologies UK appointed Ken Baldwin as its new managing director last month. Ken Baldwin has stepped into the role following more than two decades of service with the company, most recently as sales director. His promotion marks a strategic move aimed at reinforcing Open Mind’s position in the UK’s advanced manufacturing sector.

The UK market, known for its demanding industries such as motorsport, aerospace and medical technology, continues to be a key focus for Open Mind. With its flagship hyperMIL CAD/CAM software and the Hummingbird MES platform, the company delivers advanced solutions that enable manufacturers to achieve high levels of precision and efficiency in machining and digital workflow integration.

Mr Baldwin said: “I am pleased to take on this new role and to further strengthen the position of hyperMILL in the manufacturing industry. Our aim is to show more companies how they can benefit from the precision and efficiency of our CAD/CAM solution, while also highlighting the added value of Hummingbird MES for creating seamless digital workflows.”

Open Mind UK currently employs a team of 18 experts dedicated to supporting its growing customer base. Under Mr Baldwin’s leadership, the company is expected to deepen its engagement with UK manufacturers and expand its footprint across key sectors.
