Nootro Group, one of the UK’s fastest-growing nutraceutical businesses has announced ambitious expansion plans to open an additional production facility in Tenbury Wells as it targets £15 million in annual sales by 2030. The company, which was founded by Cary Holmes in 2021, operates as a parent company for its B2B manufacturing arm, Nootro Labs, alongside a growing portfolio of its own consumer brands. While the production arm specialises in contract manufacturing and formulation, the wider strategy focuses on building vertically integrated health and wellness brands across both B2B and D2C (direct-to-consumer) channels.
Backed by business support from
Elevate Worcestershire, the company is set to scale rapidly following the launch of its own private-label product range and the securing of multiple manufacturing contracts across vitamin, nootropic, CBD, herbal and adaptogenic supplements for a range of blue-chip customers. The business is now investing £600,000 into a new additional 10,000ft
2 site in Tenbury Wells in the first quarter of this year to further expand capacity and create a dedicated dry-production facility, allowing its existing Pershore operation to specialise in ‘wet’ products.
Expected to create eight new jobs over the next 12 months, the firm will be taking its total workforce to 23 people. Cary Holmes, founder and CEO of Nootro Group, said: “The first five years have been about putting the right production capabilities in place, training the right team members, and securing BRCGS AA* recognition - the highest possible quality rating in our sector. Our expansion into Tenbury Wells marks the next stage of our development as a business. We’ve now quintupled our original manufacturing capacity, giving us significant potential to deliver even greater volumes of oils, powders, capsules and gummies to the marketplace.”
New launches plannedHe continued: “We expect to be operational by April, and this is just one of several exciting developments planned for 2026. There is also a potential partnership with a mainstream television company to be explored, alongside the launch of two further own-label brands.”

Support from the programme included detailed analysis of the UK health and wellness market on Amazon - covering pricing trends, competitor insight and category dynamics — as well as guidance on brand positioning, product selection and digital retail promotion strategies. Forecasting and KPI frameworks have also been implemented, contributing to the successful launch of the Group’s Nootro Labs Essentials range of oils, capsules, gummies, bulk powders and topicals.
Phil Sommers, Elevate’s manufacturing growth manager, said: “Cary founded the business from the ground up, investing his life savings to turn his vision into reality. His dedication to growing the company, developing innovative products and investing in his team is truly commendable. It has been a pleasure working with such a committed and forward-thinking CEO, whose mission is to make effective, affordable health solutions accessible to everyone.”
Guidance and insightMr Holmes added: “The guidance and insight from Elevate Worcestershire has been invaluable in strengthening our strategy and planning for long-term growth. Programmes like this play a vital role in helping ambitious SMEs to innovate, work more efficiently and continue to scale. My message to government is simple…these initiatives deserve even greater financial backing so their impact can be amplified.”

Councillor Alan Amos, Worcestershire County Council’s cabinet member for business and skills, said: “Nootro Group, and its manufacturing arm Nootro Labs, are a shining example of the ambition and innovation thriving in Worcestershire. The team’s success demonstrates what is possible when local businesses are given the tools to scale, invest and access new markets. We are proud to have supported their journey through the Elevate Manufacturing Programme, and I would encourage other manufacturers to explore the support available.”
Looking ahead, Nootro Group is currently raising £750,000 in growth capital to support its next phase of expansion, enabling the business to scale operations while retaining majority ownership. This measured approach is designed to build long-term value ahead of any future institutional investment rounds.
