Stäubli Robotics to showcase mobile robotics solutions

Stäubli Robotics to showcase mobile robotics solutionsAt LogiMAT 2026, taking place 24-26 March in Stuttgart, Stäubli Robotics will showcase the latest developments in its mobile robotics line-up, with the FL1500 autonomous counterbalance forklift taking centre stage. The forklift will be demonstrated live in a fully automated application for the first time, underlining Stäubli’s growing capabilities in autonomous intralogistics.

Introduced in 2025, the FL1500 has already been adopted in several real‑world environments, including by a major automotive manufacturer that has deployed the vehicle across facilities in Germany and the USA to automate core material‑flow operations. Additional units, available for order since October 2025, are scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2026 as deployment continues to scale.

Stäubli has broadened the FL1500’s application potential with a new duplex mast version, enabling lift heights of more than 3m. This extension allows the autonomous forklift to service higher racking systems, helping users boost storage density — an increasingly important factor for space‑restricted sites. Despite the added height capability, the vehicle maintains its compact footprint and is therefore well-suited to confined operating environments.

The combination of automated control, high manoeuvrability and improved space utilisation reinforces the FL1500’s role as a forward‑looking solution in a logistics sector where efficiency and scalability remain central priorities. The entire Stäubli vehicle series continues to follow the company’s “built to last” design philosophy, using robust industrial‑grade components supported by a secured supply chain. A maintenance‑friendly layout ensures that key components remain easily accessible, helping to minimise downtime and maintain high availability.

Stäubli’s presence at LogiMAT reflects its development into a full‑scope automation provider. By integrating mobile robots with its established six‑axis and SCARA platforms, the company now offers end‑to‑end automation capability across multiple industrial sectors. Alongside the FL1500, the exhibition will feature the PF3 mobile robot platform — capable of transporting loads of up to three tonnes and recognised with a Red Dot Design Award — and Sterimove, the first mobile robot suitable for use in GMP classes A through D, developed specifically for sterile manufacturing environments in the pharmaceutical industry.
