The recruitment is announced as the Ministry of Defence (MoD)-owned company advances its £1.3 billion investment programme to build a new 13,000-tonne forging line and a 30,000m
2, ‘state of the art’ machining facility to underpin UK Defence manufacture. Successful applicants will join the company, which employs 770 people, to participate in an award-winning apprenticeship scheme in a range of disciplines across the business.
Jenna Carr, early careers manager at Sheffield Forgemasters, said: “With our recapitalisation programme advancing at pace, we are seeking out the most capable and committed individuals to join our team and take on new skills for the future. The company is building ‘state of the art’ facilities following its MoD acquisition, and we are recruiting in tandem with the programme to create next-level engineering, production, and future management skill sets.
