Companies in the waste disposal and recycling sector are under increasing pressure to manage peak order periods, short-term projects and seasonal fluctuations, and
Doppstadt is responding with a restructured approach that significantly expands its pool of used and rental machines. By centralising and digitalising its processes, and integrating its rental business into its internal sales department at the beginning of November, the company now offers customers in Germany a much broader selection of equipment.
Christian Jenk, head of used/rental machines and internal sales at Doppstadt, said: “High acquisition costs are often a deterrent to short-term investments, especially for small and medium-size enterprises. Renting processing technology offers companies decisive advantages. Flexibility is particularly crucial. Whether it's a matter of compensating for seasonal fluctuations, covering short-term projects or coping with order peaks – our rental concept offers the right solution.”
Typical rental periods are usually between one and six months, but can be adjusted individually. Customers now benefit from rapid availability and access to Doppstadt’s full product portfolio, with specialists on hand to guide them in selecting the right machine for each application. Many companies use rental agreements as a practical test phase before making major investment decisions, reducing financial risk. Among the most sought-after equipment are the company’s Inventhor series shredders, known for their high performance in demanding waste-processing environments.
Central ticketing systemDigitalisation has also accelerated enquiry handling. Customers can submit requests online, which are then fed into a central ticket system for immediate processing by the appropriate specialists. Mr Jenk said: “Thanks to digitalisation and the introduction of a central ticket system, our experts can contact the customer on the same day the enquiry is made. We want to move away from individual cases towards scaling and an even more professional set-up, from which the customer benefits directly.”
To ensure consistent service quality, Doppstadt has standardised its rental conditions with a new price list, and every machine undergoes a comprehensive quality check before being dispatched. Delivery is carried out either by the company’s own logistics team or a long-standing partner, with on-site instruction included to ensure customers can begin operating immediately.
Doppstadt’s expanded used and rental offering strengthens its position as a flexible partner for recycling and waste-management operations, providing companies with greater agility at a time when operational demands are becoming increasingly variable.
