Pic:MTA Vietnam 2026 officially returns from 1-4 July, 2026, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention CenterAs global supply chains undergo restructuring, Vietnam is positioning its domestic enterprises at the centre of a strategic transformation. The country finds itself presented with a significant opportunity to accelerate localisation and strengthen its manufacturing self-reliance.
According to the country’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, the first quarter of 2026 recorded a 9% increase in the Industrial Production Index (IPI). Manufacturing and processing continued to drive growth, expanding by 9.7%. However, achieving the 40–45% localisation target set will require businesses to accelerate technological investment and upgrade production capabilities.
In its Q1 2026 press conference, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) emphasised a steadfast commitment to restructuring industrial and supply chains to bolster domestic manufacturing autonomy. A cornerstone of this strategy is the incremental increase of localisation rates to 40 – 45% within key industries. This initiative is coupled with a drive to upgrade technologies and accelerate R&D for strategic products integrated with emerging technologies – laying a vital foundation for sustainable growth.
However, turning these policy goals into reality presents a major challenge for enterprises. The hurdle lies not just in strategic alignment, but in the practical ability to access and implement technological solutions that fit real-world production demands. As the gap widens between escalating supply chain requirements and current capacities, there is a growing demand for models that create more direct connections between technology, equipment, and businesses.

In this context, the MTA Vietnam event serves as a strategic 'technology touchpoint' – a platform that transcends traditional displays by offering live, real-time demonstrations of leading-edge manufacturing solutions. This immersive approach enables enterprises to effectively bridge the gap between strategic vision and practical application, swiftly converting advanced technology into a tangible competitive advantage on the factory floor.
This year, MTA Vietnam 2026 – The 22nd International Precision Engineering and Manufacturing Exhibition & Conference – will officially take place from 1-4 July, 2026, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City.
It will feature:
● Expanded exhibition space to 13,200m²
● 450+ prestigious exhibiting brands from 21 countries and territories
● Participation from industrial leading countries including Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan (China), Thailand, the USA, and more.
A strategic highlight of this year’s event is the Supporting Industry Show 2026, a collaborative initiative between JETRO HCMC, the Investment and Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC), and the Center for Supporting Industries Development (CSID).
Driven by the collaboration of 44 supporting sector enterprises from Japan and Vietnam, this showcase transcends a conventional exhibition, serving as a strategic gateway for global integration. It provides a unique platform where domestic suppliers can align with international standards, engage with high-potential partners, and carve their path into global value chains. This presence not only expands cooperation opportunities but also creates a strong driving force for upgrading production capabilities and increasing localisation rates – key factors enabling Vietnam’s mechanical engineering industry to make a breakthrough in the coming period.
Within the overall large-scale exhibition space, MTA Vietnam 2026 will further affirm its position as a valued convergence point for key leaders in the global manufacturing technology industry. The event brings together a wide range of pioneering brands such as Salvagnini Italia S.p.A, Makino Asia Pte. Ltd., Hwacheon Machine Tool Vietnam Co., Ltd., Ace Micromatic International Pvt. Ltd., Yamazen Vietnam Co., Ltd., Yamazaki Mazak Singapore Pte. Ltd., MST Corporation Co., Ltd., Sodick Vietnam Co., Ltd., Van Su Loi Trading – Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Thinh Qua Trading and Service One Member Co., Ltd., Kiheung Machinery Co., Ltd., Renishaw (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., and others – the industry giants currently defining the technological benchmarks of global mechanical engineering and manufacturing.
Beyond the scale of a traditional showcase, the presence of leading industry names creates a distinctly advanced technology ecosystem, where precision machining equipment, 5-axis CNC machining centres, automation systems, and advanced manufacturing solutions are directly operated in real application environments. This factor has contributed to positioning MTA Vietnam as a true technology benchmark of the industry – not merely a platform for showcasing equipment, but a place where technology is operated, validated, and made ready for real-world deployment.
Show Highlights at MTA Vietnam 2026Speed Matching: Strategic Business MatchmakingDeparting from traditional networking formats, ‘Speed Matching’ at MTA Vietnam 2026 introduces a new approach to connectivity: the Organising Committee will proactively arrange 10–15 minute quick exchange sessions, where companies briefly present their capabilities and needs, enabling partners to quickly assess compatibility.
Each meeting is carefully curated and clearly structured – optimizing time, enhancing efficiency, and fostering meaningful collaboration opportunities directly at the event. From these initial connections, the parties can easily continue in-depth discussions, opening up concrete partnership opportunities after the event.
Mechanical Engineering in The Intelligent Age SummitMaking its debut at MTA Vietnam, the Mechanical Engineering in The Intelligent Age Summit is not merely a conference, but a declaration of a new vision for the industry—placing engineers at the centre of every transformation. From ‘hands-on craftsmanship’ to ‘digital intelligence’, it is a space to honour those who have laid the foundations of the mechanical engineering sector, while also opening dialogue on the role of the new generation of engineers – those who master technology, data, and smart manufacturing ecosystems. It is both an emotional and strategic touchpoint, where the past, present, and future of engineering professionals are connected within a shared journey.
Sourcing Fair for Supporting Industries 2026 (SFS 2026).

Building on the resounding success of its 2025 show, the Sourcing Fair for Supporting Industries 2026 - hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with HEPZA, SHTP, and CSID - continues to serve as a strategic bridge between FDI enterprises and domestic suppliers. The event creates a direct networking platform where Vietnamese businesses have the opportunity to access real demands from international corporations, thereby enhancing their technological capabilities, product quality, and management capacity.
Industry Insight & Technical Seminar Series At MTA Vietnam 2026, the industry insight & technical seminar series continues to serve as a knowledge hub for the entire industry, featuring the participation of reputable organisations and associations such as the Vietnam Robotics Association (VRA), Ho Chi Minh City Association for Supporting Industries (HASI), Ho Chi Minh City Mechanical Association (HAME), VINATEST, and the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Engineering, among others, as well as international technology organisations such as Italian Manufacturing Technologies Vietnam.
Spanning four days, the program focuses on key pillars of modern manufacturing, from building a Made in Vietnam robotics ecosystem, metrology and testing in R&D, to European manufacturing technologies and sustainable transformation trends in aerospace engineering.
