Sunnen to showcase latest manufacturing solutions at IMTS 2026 Sunnen Products Company, a global leader in high-precision honing, bore sizing, and engine rebuilding equipment, will showcase its latest manufacturing solutions at IMTS 2026, taking place September 14–19 in Chicago, Illinois. Attendees are invited to visit Sunnen at booth #237330 to explore new developments in precision honing, dimensional metrology, tooling and deep-hole machining technologies.

Among the featured products will be the PGA-1000 air gage, Sunnen’s first dedicated benchtop air gaging system designed to deliver fast, reliable and highly accurate dimensional measurement. The PGA-1000 comes in both single and dual master models, suitable for replacing the popular legacy systems like the Mahr Federal Dimensionair and the Western Gauge Micro 2. Featuring an intuitive 5in touchscreen interface, real-time statistical process control capabilities, multiple display modes and flexible data export options, the PGA-1000 expands Sunnen’s metrology portfolio and provides manufacturers with greater confidence in measurement and quality control processes. The system's compatibility with a wide range of air probes and configurable accessories makes it suitable for both production environments and quality laboratories.

Sunnen will also feature its next generation Sunnen2 control system for its horizontal honing systems. The Sunnen 2 controls evolved from the company’s high performance vertical honing solutions and are now being applied to Sunnen’s horizontal machine line. Designed to increase productivity while maintaining exceptional bore geometry and surface finish requirements, these systems represent the next generation of horizontal honing technology for manufacturers seeking greater process consistency and operational efficiency.

Also on display will be the SV-3015 vertical honing machine with an integrated air-gaging column, which combines advanced automation, precision control and application flexibility to address a wide range of bore sizing and finishing requirements. The machine is engineered to support both small and larger workpieces while delivering the process control and repeatability required by today's manufacturing operations. The SV-Series platform offers high spindle speeds, programmable process control and a flexible work area designed to support demanding production environments.

In addition to machine technologies, visitors can explore Sunnen's extensive portfolio of precision tooling and gaging solutions. Designed to maximise machine performance and process reliability, Sunnen tooling and metrology products help manufacturers achieve tighter tolerances, improved surface finishes and greater process repeatability across a broad range of applications and industries.

A key highlight of the booth will be Sunnen's recently announced strategic alliance with TIBO Tiefbohrtechnik GmbH, a leading provider of deep-hole drilling systems. IMTS attendees will have the opportunity to see a working deep-hole drilling demonstration at the booth, showcasing capabilities that complement Sunnen's established expertise in honing and bore finishing.

Attendees are invited to engage with Sunnen's technical experts, experience hands-on demonstrations, and explore custom solutions for streamlining tube honing operations.
