New growth director appointed at adi Groupadi Group has announced the appointment of Steve Appleton as Group Growth Director.

Mr Appleton brings more than 25 years of experience in sales and business restructuring, having worked across public and private sector organisations in national and international markets. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening collaboration across adi Group’s specialist divisions to deliver more integrated engineering solutions for clients.

He began his career at Ford Motor Company, working in robotisation and maintenance engineering, before studying advanced manufacturing techniques in Japan and supporting their implementation in UK manufacturing facilities.

His experience includes work across highly regulated sectors including life sciences, healthcare, petrochemical, government, education, transport and retail. Prior to joining adi Group, he worked in consultancy and advisory roles across the industry.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Appleton said: “There is significant potential across adi Group, and my focus will be on strengthening collaboration and targeting the sectors where our combined capability can make the greatest impact. By working in a more connected way, we can deliver even greater value for our clients.”

Paul Smith, CEO of adi Group, added: “Steve joins us at a pivotal time for the business. As we continue to grow, bringing our specialist teams together in a more co-ordinated way will be essential to delivering even greater value for our clients. Steve’s experience in leading complex programmes and driving collaboration will play a key role in that next phase.

“We have exceptional capability across the Group, and Steve will help us unlock even more of that strength as we continue to expand our integrated engineering offer.”
