PostWorks Connect will debut at
IMTS 2026, September 14–19, at Booth 135604, showcasing a next-generation CNC postprocessing platform designed to unify machine management, accelerate deployment, and simplify advanced manufacturing workflows.
Built to replace fragmented legacy postprocessing environments, PostWorks Connect combines universal compatibility, automated machine setup, and deep engineering customisation within a single integrated interface.
At the core of the platform is a modern RunTime environment that allows manufacturers to manage multiple machine tools side-by-side from one centralised console. Users can instantly drag and drop multi-axis toolpaths directly onto a machine image to generate optimised production-ready NC code.
PostWorks Connect supports native APT-source inputs, binary CL files, and direct CAM-system conversion formats, including Mastercam NCI files. The system also includes embedded scripting capabilities for vendor-specific automation and advanced HTML-based reporting for operator sheets, tool lists, and execution logs.
To streamline implementation, the integrated MakePost Wizard enables rapid CNC machine configuration for industry-standard controllers including Siemens 840D, Fanuc, Heidenhain, and Mazatrol. The wizard supports automatic 2- to 5-axis machine setup with prebuilt kinematic arrangements for AB, AC, BC, and other rotary-axis combinations.
For advanced manufacturing applications, PostWorks Connect provides deep customisation through its Advanced Menu-Driven Post Configuration system. Engineers can control machine kinematics, interpolation settings, motion behavior, canned cycles, and even redefine individual Post Words, G-code/M-code tables, and controller-specific output formatting.
PostWorks Connect also delivers a significant operational upgrade for users of PostWorks Classic by replacing disconnected workflows and command-line processes with a unified drag-and-drop environment that reduces setup time, improves flexibility, and enhances shop floor communication.
Don Barnes, VP
NCCS, said: “PostWorks Connect bridges the gap between fast deployment and advanced customisation. Manufacturers can now standardise postprocessing across their operations while maintaining the flexibility needed for highly specialised machine tools and production environments.”
