Now a regular feature in the
Hurco calendar, Demo Deals Day took place this year on 16th September at the company’s High Wycombe facility, giving customers an opportunity to secure special discounts on used equipment and ex-demonstration machine tools originally prepared for the MACH 2026 exhibition. The day was regarded by the supplier and its visitors as a resounding success.
The end of the summer break is usually a busy period for Hurco and is a good time to replace the demonstration CNC milling and turning centres in High Wycombe. Demand was strong in the lead-up to the September event, with many of the models in the showroom sold or reserved before the doors opened.
Successfully securing multiple orders has made space for new Hurco machines to be added ahead of the popular Christmas open house in December.
By one week after the latest Demo Deals Day finished, orders had been confirmed for the Hurco VC500i five-axis vertical machining centre (VMC) automated with a Kawasaki PC25 robot loading system, the Hurco VMX30HSi, 20,000 rpm, three-axis machining centre, and the Roeders RXP400 high-precision, high-speed VMC.
All of the ex-demonstration Hurco turning centres had also been sold by that time, meaning that the TMX8MYSi driven-tool turning centre with Y-axis and sub-spindle, the TM8i slotted-turret machine, and a similar lathe with a VDI turret from Hurco’s northern demonstration facility at Kirklees College will be on their way to their new owners in the coming weeks.
Paul Mantle, applications manager at Hurco commented, “We enjoy any chance to showcase our demonstration area and the latest technology we have to offer, not only our broad range of machine tools but also a wealth of automation solutions.
“It was useful to have two ProCobot systems feeding a three-axis and a five-axis machining centre, plus the Kawasaki PC25 6-axis industrial robot loading and unloading individual parts on the VC500i, as business owners were able to better understand the benefits of the different automation solutions.”
Although visitor numbers on the day were slightly lower than at the event in 2025, several manufacturers booked exclusive demonstrations after the day to allow more time with an applications engineer in front of a specific machine. In many instances, Hurco considers this to be the best approach to ensure that all aspects of a demonstration can be covered in sufficient detail.
Hurco’s asset finance partner, Industrial Equipment Finance, was on-site to assist customers throughout the day. In addition to three- and five-year hire purchase agreements, a number of flexible financing solutions were discussed, including leasing options and payment holidays. With 100% capital allowances still available for new machinery purchases, investing now offers businesses an opportunity for substantial corporation tax savings within the current fiscal year.
Following the success of the Demo Deals Day, Hurco is already looking forward to its upcoming events: the Christmas open house and supplier village on 1st and 2nd December 2026; and Southern Manufacturing, which will be held at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre from 2nd to 4th February 2027.
