Altus Group, a leading supplier of electronics manufacturing equipment in the UK and Ireland, has received the Koh Young Europe Sales Excellence Award for achieving their highest equipment sales in the history of their partnership in 2026 already.
The recognition comes as Altus has surpassed all previous Koh Young sales records for the UK and Ireland, with the number of systems sold reaching a new high by the end of the year. Despite challenging economic conditions across Europe during 2025 and 2026, demand in the region has remained strong.
Sales have been particularly strong among manufacturers producing high-reliability, high-value products where quality is critical. Customers serving the defence and aerospace supply chain, AI infrastructure, green technology and medical sectors are investing in new production lines to fulfil growing order books.
Joe Booth, CEO of Altus Group, said: “We knew we’d been having a great few years with Koh Young in the UK and Ireland, but we were genuinely surprised to receive an award as one of the best in Europe. It’s amazing news.
“Even though we win over 70% of 3D inspection projects in our market, the UK and Ireland has traditionally been dwarfed by the efforts of our colleagues in central and eastern Europe. Receiving this award is a proud moment for our team and reflects the progress we’ve made with Koh Young.”
Michael Zahn, CSO of Koh Young Europe, said: “For a relatively small territory, Altus Group has been punching above its weight, winning projects at a higher rate than many other territories in Europe. Its market share is well above the 50% we hold globally. The territory is extremely mature and competitive, with many manufacturing facilities that have only one to three lines but still run competitive technical evaluations before they buy, just as the biggest manufacturers do.
“Altus Group has been especially successful in winning new customers who are upgrading from legacy 2D platforms or setting up production for the first time with a market leader. We can’t wait to see more success like this in Q4 and through 2027.”
Altus has built sales momentum over the past five years by expanding its sales team and establishing a dedicated pre-sales applications team for inspection. It has also broadened its portfolio to offer complete production solutions from a single supplier.
Most of the Koh Young orders Altus has received in 2026 have come from first-time users, many of whom plan to introduce the systems more widely across their facilities.
Manufacturers can arrange a visit to Altus' new customer experience centre during the fourth quarter of 2026 to see the Koh Young systems in operation.
