Material testing systems expert,
Instron, will showcase its latest technologies for accurately measuring material strength, durability and performance under high loads at this year’s
Advanced Engineering show, taking place at Birmingham’s NEC on 4–5 November. Live from Hall 3 – Stand S160, the Instron team will showcase the all-new 68TM-100 universal testing system, the latest release in the ElectroPuls range and the Instron 9450 Drop Tower.
At this year’s show, Instron will offer visitors an exclusive preview of its 68TM-100 universal testing system, a benchtop solution capable of applying forces of up to 100kN to accurately assess the mechanical properties of materials including metals, composites and polymers.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore Instron’s ElectroPuls E20000 testing system, which will be showcased alongside the 68TM-100. The latest addition to the ElectroPuls range, the E20000 delivers double the linear capacity (20kN) of the previous E10000 model, as well as 130Nm torque linear capacity. When used alongside Instron’s own WaveMatrix3 and Bluehill software, the E20000 offers customers a powerful and efficient alternative to traditional hydraulic systems.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to see the 9450 Drop Tower system in action. The 9450 gives customers accurate simulations of realistic impact events, offering engineers greater clarity on their material's limitations while also showing how finished components perform under sudden or instant loads.
Advanced Engineering brings together engineers, manufacturers and technology specialists from across industries including aerospace, automotive and composites, providing a platform to explore the latest developments in materials, manufacturing processes and engineering technologies. For the first time will run in tandem with the
UK Metals Expo, giving customers access to the entire metals supply chain under the same roof.
Peter Fuller, Instron sales and application engineer, said: “Advanced Engineering is known for its heavy footfall, and this year we wanted to showcase our product lineup to as many customers as possible. We look forward to demonstrating how our latest testing technologies can help engineers and manufacturers across a range of industries overcome material testing challenges and improve confidence in product performance.”
