New canning line installation for EnvasesMaesteg-based Trojan-Mek (www.trojanmek.co.uk), which specialises in the removal, relocation and installation of heavy plant machinery, has been working with Envases UK Ltd on the installation of a new canning line at the latter’s Port Talbot site. Completion of the 730 sq m project coincided with Trojan-Mek’s 10th anniversary last month and highlighted the company’s Welsh roots.

Company director Colin Watkins (pictured, right) said: “We are extremely proud to be completing the canning-line project for Envases at such a significant time in our firm’s calendar.

"During the past 10 years, we have grown and expanded our client base from Wales and the UK throughout Europe, but this project shows that we still have local industry at the core of our business and really value the locally based customers that have contributed to our success.”

Envases project manger Neil Hopkins (pictured, left) said: “Trojan-Mek’s team were totally professional and remain our first choice for machine fitting.”

Trojan-Mek’s other current projects include an automotive production line in Hungary, a palletising plant in Ireland and a packing line in Germany.

The company was founded by Colin Watkins and Leighton Price in 2004 and received a Fast Growth 50 award in 2008.
