Kidderminster-based MTL Engineering Ltd (
www.mtlengineering.co.uk) designs and installs control systems for all types of industrial equipment — plus it is the sole UK agent for Tecnocut water-jet cutting machines — but its main activity is providing a CNC repair and retrofit service to clients throughout the UK and Europe.
Now, after 30 years of selling, repairing, servicing and retrofitting machines that handle sheet metal, the company has launched its own CNC press brake.
Featuring industry-leading components such as a Delem CNC system (from the Netherlands) and Hoerbiger valves (from Germany), plus a 450-500mm throat, Trumpf-style finger stops and dual linear rail support for the X axis, the MTL 450 can be built to order with any bend length or tonnage (the picture shows a 160-tonne 4m model).
MTL director Mark Lewis says: “We have developed this bespoke machine through our experience of repairing machines for over 30 years, and it has been tested by a number of customers. Together, we have worked to build a sustainable and high-quality machine at a realistic price.”
