CNC International is set to supply the largest EDM machine in the UK, after Erodatools — one of its long-established customers — ordered the Accutex Au1000iA at MACH 2014.
Caroline Healey, administration manager at Erodatools, said: “The Au1000iA increases our capacity to eight wire EDM machines and gives us a maximum Z-axis cutting height of 600mm, which we believe is one of the largest in the country. We have dealt with CNC International for many years, and we knew we could rely on them.”
CNC International’s Richard Whiles said: “While Erodatools is the first company to take delivery of such a large Accutex machine from us, we are confident that the size and scale of this machine will be of interest to many UK companies. With the arrival of the Au1000iA, we are opening up a wealth of new opportunities for our customers.”
The Accutex machine has a work envelope of 1,100 x 650 x 600mm; it accommodates components up to 1,680 x 990 x 600mm and weighing up to five tonnes.
