Large Exporter prize for Hadley Group

The Smethwick-based Hadley Group — the UK’s largest manufacturer of cold-rolled metal profiles — won the Large Exporter prize at this year’s BusinessDesk.com West Midlands Business Masters Awards, which was held recently at Edgbaston Stadium.
The company overcame Bridgnorth Aluminium and Grainger & Worrall to win the award, which is open to regional exporting businesses with a turnover above £25 million.
The Hadley Group — run by Black Country LEP chairman Stewart Towe — has set up manufacturing bases in Germany, Thailand and Dubai and is now targeting the US, Canadian and South American markets.
It was also short-listed in the Large Manufacturer category but lost out to automotive-parts business Brose UK.
