Coventry-based Automotive Trim Developments (ATD) has moved to new premises and created 30 jobs. The automotive-component manufacturer has invested £1.2 million in the relocation after securing a seven-figure finance deal. Established in 2000 and now with a turnover of £5 million, ATD specialises in the design and production of
interior trim for the automotive sector.
Looking to purchase new premises in order to increase the company’s capacity and take on extra staff, founder and managing director Brett Townsend turned to NatWest to secure the funding, with further support provided by Coventry City Council. The investment saw the firm purchase a 33,000ft2 factory complex adjacent to its existing premises. The new jobs — being created within the next two years — will take the number of staff to 94. Mr Townsend said: “The support provided by NatWest and Coventry City Council has enabled ATD to follow its growth strategy and thereby
create opportunities for new employment.”
Gary Stockley, senior relationship manager for NatWest, said: “It’s a real pleasure to work alongside Brett and the Automotive Trim team and to be a part of their on-going growth. We are proud to have supported them in reaching a pivotal moment in the history of the business.”
