See the latest version of Vericut at EMO CGTech, which has its headquarters in Irvine (California) and a UK subsidiary in Hove (www. cgtech.co.uk), specialises in software for NC/CNC program simulation, verification, optimisation and analysis.

The company’s Vericut software is accepted as the industry standard for simulating CNC machining in order to detect errors, potential collisions and areas of inefficiency.

The latest version of Vericut — 7.4 — includes many enhancements that further simplify the process of simulating a CNC machine; these include a Welcome Screen that automatically displays when first launching a Vericut session and provides access to commonly used first actions.

In addition, the Vericut user interface is more customisable. The Tool Manager’s desk-top and user interface have been re-designed to provide easier user interaction; this includes pull-down menus for easy access to all the features needed to create and maintain tool libraries, as well as create or modify tool assemblies.

Also new is a module termed Force, which is physics- and mathematics-based modelling software for optimising machining rates for companies that use automated machining — including those in the aerospace and automotive sectors.

Force determines the optimum speeds for a cutting process and makes the CNC machine cut in the most efficient, fast and reliable way, based on the type of material being cut. Force is easy to set up and can also predict tool wear. (Hall 4, Stand A04)
