Being launched by Takisawa Taiwan — represented in the UK by Sheffield-based TW Ward CNC Machinery Ltd (
www.wardcnc.com) — is the FX-800, a twin-spindle twin-turret turning centre for the production of complex parts.
This machine has Y and B axes and can accommodate bar up to 65mm in diameter in the main spindle and 52mm in the sub-spindle, which accommodate an 8in and 6in chuck respectively. The spindles are rated at 11/15kW 4,500rev/min and 7.5/11kW 5,000rev/min. The maximum turning length and diameter are 657 and 260mm respectively, and both the upper and lower turrets have 16 stations. (Hall 9, Stand E22)
Meanwhile, Takisawa Japan — also represented by Ward CNC — will be showing five multi-tasking mill-turn centres for the single-set-up production of complex parts. These machines include the TMX-2000S, which has seven axes, a 5,000rev/min spindle, 40 tools, a 65mm bar capacity and a sub-spindle. It has a maximum turning diameter of 500mm and a maximum turning length of 610mm.
Also on show will be a TS-3000YS (a six-axis opposed twin-spindle machine), a TS-4000YS (also an opposed twin-spindle machine) and a TS-5000Y (this Y-axis machine has a Y-axis stroke of 120mm, which is the longest in its class). All four machines feature the new Fanuc HMI CNC system. (Hall 9, Stand D22/E19)
