Accurate Laser Cutting invests £1 million Oldbury-based Accurate Laser Cutting (www.accurate-laser.co.uk) is investing £1 million in a new Bystronic 4020 Fiber Laser machine and two Bystronic CNC Xpert press brakes.

The company has also purchased Bystronic’s bespoke design and manufacture programme Bysoft7, which is supported by Solidworks intuitive 3-D design modelling software.

Director Steve Morgan said: “Our decision to invest in the latest technology from Bystronic means that even 4x2m sheet metal can now be processed as efficiently and economically as possible.

The 4020 Fiber Laser comes equipped with the innovative Power Cut Fiber feature, which enables it to handle aluminium up to 30mm thick, copper up to 12mm thick and brass up to 15mm thick. It can also accurately cut stainless steel up to 25mm thick.”

Director Jon Till (pictured right, with Bystronic’s managing director Dave Larcombe) said: “The long-term plan is to increase our production levels by 50% and eventually have a manufacturing base in every major city in the UK.

“We are confident that our decision to invest in these innovative facilities will enable us to penetrate new industries and offer our customers the very best in quality, service and price.”

The machines will be in housed in an improved facility at Oldbury, which will be doubled in size to 14,200sq ft.

Mr Morgan said: “We are confident that expanding our premises and investing in the very latest equipment will further intensify our impact on the manufacturing industry, creating bigger and better opportunities for us in the future.”
