Okuma, which is represented in the UK by Thames Ditton-based NCMT Ltd (
www.ncmt.co.uk), has expanded its range of five-axis machining centres with two new products.
The MU-8000V (pictured) features a large working area and high traversing speeds, as well as a substantial portal construction.
It is particularly suitable for applications in mould and die, as well as the machining of complex aerospace parts.
Meanwhile, the MU-4000V five-axis machining centre is more compact and based on a different design.
Typical applications for this machine are in the aerospace and automotive industries. (Hall 9, Stand D16/E15).
