Nottinghamshire-based A1 Flue Systems (
www.a1flues.co.uk) has set up a new operation in partnership with Italian stainless steel maker Expo Inox (
www.expoinox.com). The £7 million venture, known as A1 Expo, is looking to exploit the UK market for small-diameter flue components and flue liners; it will supply stove shops, builders’ merchants and heating engineers.
The company is firmly established as the UK market leader in the design and manufacture of commercial and industrial chimney, flue and exhaust systems, and the partership is designed to give it a major presence in the domestic market.
Mauro Travini, of Expo Inox, said: “The new business has access to an existing supplier network in the UK, but it will also be looking to create its own presence. It will offer a range of flue products and liners that have no equal.”
