Kimla fibre lasers introduced to UK

Kimla fibre lasers introduced to UKYorkshire-based MBA Engineering Systems Ltd (www.mba-eng.co.uk), which was established in 2009 to provide support services to laser users, has been appointed to represent the Polish CNC machinery manufacturer Kimla in the UK.

The latter’s machines include fibre lasers, which offer significant advantages in terms of performance, speed and cost over CO2 lasers.

The services offered by MBA comprise breakdown assistance, preventative maintenance, customer training, machine moves and installations (the company has topped the Association of Industrial Laser Users breakdown response satisfaction survey for the last three years).

Although new to the UK market, Kimla has over 16 years’ experience in the design and production of laser and water-jet cutting machinery. Key features include IPG solid-state laser sources (2-8kW), Precitec Pro cutting heads (specifically designed for fibre lasers), and the use of linear drives. A tailored CAD/CAM and nesting package
is provided as standard.

MBA says its partnership with Kimla will allow customers to take advantage of the very latest fibre laser technology at a competitive price, while benefitting from full support and service by MBA.

Machine spares will be available from the company’s offices in Wetherby, which also house a clean-room for head repairs and servicing.
